We are looking for a passionate and engaged Design Assistant, to support the Head of Design develop our sustainable women's apparel range.

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and engaged Design Assistant, to support the Head of Design develop our sustainable women’s apparel range.

Your responsibilities will include:
Closely collaborate with the Head of Design and Creative Director to draw up all initial designs, produce specification packs and ensure all key dates are met in line with our critical path
Ensure all documentation is up to date and accurately maintained in WFX
Produce illustrated visual storyboards of our seasonal ranges
Manage lab dips, trims and materials for each design
Develop strong working relationships with our intimate collection of offshore suppliers
Closely collaborate with our Ethics & Sustainability Manager to provide input into the development of increasingly more sustainable ranges, researching and proposing new product innovations (via both fabrics and trims) and challenging our status quo

You have a love of fashion and have a positive, proactive, solutions focussed mindset. You take a great deal of pride in your ability to operate with a meticulous degree of organisation, attention to detail and to stay on track in line with the design calendar. You know Adobe Illustrator like the back of your hand, are well versed with garment construction and have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role responsible for apparel.

You love nothing more than being part of a collaborative, supportive and nurturing team where everyone lends a hand to get the job done.

Who are you?

You are a perfect match with:
At least 3+ years experience working in a similar role, responsible for apparel (coupled with a great understanding of garment construction)
In depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (required)
Understanding of and passion for sustainability landscape (required)
Formal qualification in textiles production, fashion and textiles management, fashion and clothing technology or related industry (desired)
Experience using WFX (desired)
