Are you a proven people leader and with qualifications and experience in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, ABA therapy or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences? Do you want to be a part of a dynamic and high-quality clinical team providing support to people with disability, their families, and support staff regarding evidence-based approaches to reducing the impact of challenging behaviour?

The Role

Due to our continued growth, this newly created role will report to our Practice Leader (VIC) and be responsible for establishing, growing, and implementing Specialist Behaviour Support in the areas across Greater Melbourne. You will have responsibility for all components of Behaviour Support delivery including mentoring a small team and ensuring Behaviour Support is delivered to NDIS participants according to best practice and within the scope of each person’s plan. Along with being the point of contact for providers you will work with the team to meet output targets whilst ensuring best practice and excellent stakeholder relationships. 

About You

You will ideally have knowledge of and experience in working with people with intellectual disability who have complex and challenging behaviours. You will also have a strong understanding of good clinical practice, the jurisdictional requirements in VIC and the context in which Behaviour Support is provided including for people subject to restrictive interventions.

You will also come with:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications including: Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, ABA therapy or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
  • Leadership experience in the human services sector including disability, health, family support or another similar service area.
  • Ability to drive and support a small team to deliver results
  • Experience working with NDIS services
  • Commitment to the highest possible quality on providing positive behaviour support and the ability to communicate that to their team.
  • Current WWCC

Ideally the successful applicant will also come with registration and membership in their chosen field.
